Student Support Services
At SEED DC, we believe that rigor and support go hand in hand. The Student Support Services Department is dedicated to ensuring that every student is known, seen, and supported—academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and physically.
Our mission is to provide a continuum of tiered, coordinated supports that remove barriers to learning, build resilience, and foster a deep sense of belonging. Through collaboration and care, we help every SEED scholar thrive and prepare for lifelong success—both in college and beyond.
The Student Support Services Department encompasses several key entities that work together to provide equitable, whole-child support:
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
Exceptional Learning Department (formerly Special Education)
Section 504 Supports
Counseling and Mental Health Services
Health & Wellness Suite
Together, these teams partner with families, staff, and community organizations to ensure that each scholar has access to the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports they need to reach their fullest potential.
